JR328: Generator Field Service EngineerLocation: Milton KeynesSalary: £33,750 - £40,000 Per Annum + Progression + Bonus + Overtime + Company VehicleOverview:First Military Recruitment is working in partnership with our reputable client who is seeking a Field Service Engineer to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer to support a growing South East operation, carrying out maintenance, servicing, and repairs on a fleet of rental generators. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high levels of customer service while working both independently and alongside internal teams.Duties and Responsibilities:

- Carry out planned servicing and preventative maintenance on diesel generators. \n
- Diagnose faults and complete repairs on rental generators, ensuring issues are resolved efficiently. \n
- Conduct site surveys to assess customer requirements and maintenance needs. \n
- Participate in the on-call rota to provide out-of-hours support when required. \n
- Maintain high standards of health and safety, ensuring company vehicles and work areas are clean, safe, and well organised. \n
- Comply with company quality, environmental, energy management, and health & safety procedures. \n
- Deliver excellent customer service while building positive working relationships with customers and colleagues. \n
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to the success of the engineering team. \n
Skills and Qualifications:
\n- \n
- Relevant qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Diesel Fitting, Plant Maintenance, or a similar discipline (e.g. City & Guilds or BTEC), or completion of a recognised engineering apprenticeship. \n
- Experience servicing and repairing generators. \n
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills. \n
- Previous experience in a field service engineering role is advantageous. \n
- Full UK driving licence. \n
- Excellent communication and customer service skills. \n
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team. \n
- ECS, CSCS or CCNSG card is desirable but not essential, as training can be provided. \n
