Job Description
The Role:
\nOn behalf of our client, we are seeking a PA to the Head (this is a term time only role). This is a proactive personal assistant role supporting the Head of the school and reporting directly to the Head. The role is responsible for the day-to-day running of the Head’s Office, including diary management, communications, and a wide range of administrative tasks.
\nThe position requires initiative, confidentiality, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment. You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders and provide reliable support across a broad range of responsibilities.
\nResponsibilities will include
\n• Follow the Head’s direction and proactively ensure the smooth operation of the Head’s Office and diary.
\n• Uphold the school’s high standards, values, and vision in all office matters.
\n• Assist the Head with short-term and long-term organisational tasks.
\n• Confidentially handle sensitive personal matters involving staff, students, and the wider community.
\n• Develop strong relationships with parents, governors, pupils, and staff, acting as an ambassador for the school.
\n• Organise and maintain the Head’s diary and inbox, ensuring timely communication.
\n• Manage information gathering, documentation, and reporting for Governors.
\n• Oversee incoming and outgoing correspondence, maintaining secure filing systems.
\n• Coordinate meetings, events, and end-of-term school gatherings, preparing notes and materials.
\n• Arrange travel, accommodation, and logistics for the Head’s trips, excluding admissions and marketing.
\n• Collate and file complaints, incidents, and sanctions, supporting the Head’s reporting to Governors.
\n• Provide additional support to the Senior Leadership Team and cover the reception desk when required.
\n\nThe Person:
\nOur client is looking for a highly self-motivated experienced PA, exceptionally organised individual who thrives in a demanding, fast-paced environment. You will be professional, approachable, and confident working with people at all levels. A strong sense of discretion, sound judgement, and a methodical approach are essential.

- Experience of providing high-level administrative support to senior leadership teams \n
- Experience of dealing with confidential and sensitive information. \n
- Experience of working in a customer-facing role. \n
- Experience of working in a school or educational environment would be ideal but not essential \n
- Excellent communication skills. \n
- Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to work calmly under pressure and prioritise competing deadlines. \n
- Ability to problem solve and investigate queries. \n
- High level of attention to detail and a methodical and conscientious approach to work. \n
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion. \n
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team. \n
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and ISAMS. \n
- High level of integrity and discretion. \n
The Hours:
\nMonday – Friday 8am – 4pm with 30 minutes lunch. This is a term time only role but does required 3 weeks to be worked during school holiday period (timings to be agreed with the Head)

\n£31,500 FTE and actual salary £24,128 (term time only)
