Accounts Senior - Tonbridge Ready to take ownership of a varied client portfolio and play a key role within a growing accountancy team? A fantastic opportunity has become available for an experienced Accounts Senior to join a progressive and expanding accountancy practice in Tonbridge. This position would suit a practice professional who enjoys working closely with clients, preparing statutory accounts and tax returns, and supporting the development of junior team members. The successful Accounts Senior will be joining a friendly, collaborative team with genuine opportunities for long-term career progression.About the role As an Accounts Senior, responsibilities will include:\n

- Preparing year-end statutory accounts for limited companies, partnerships and sole traders \n
- Preparing corporation tax returns and supporting tax computations \n
- Preparing self-assessment tax returns \n
- Managing a portfolio of clients across a variety of sectors \n
- Reviewing bookkeeping and VAT work completed by junior team members \n
- Preparing management accounts where required \n
- Liaising directly with clients to provide advice and resolve queries \n
- Assisting clients with accounting software and cloud accounting systems \n
- Supporting and mentoring junior members of the accounts team \n
- Identifying opportunities to improve client processes and efficiencies \n
- Ensuring compliance deadlines are met \n
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships \n

- Previous experience working within an accountancy practice environment \n
- Strong experience preparing year-end accounts and tax returns \n
- AAT qualified, ACA/ACCA part-qualified or qualified by experience \n
- Good technical accounting knowledge \n
- Strong client communication skills \n
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines effectively \n
- High levels of accuracy and attention to detail \n
- Positive, professional and proactive approach \n
- Desire to progress within a growing firm \n
