Reed Specialist Recruitment is delighted to be supporting a well-established engineering business in Abingdon in the search for a Parts Advisor / Service Administrator to join their growing After Sales team.

\n

This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and customer-focused individual looking to develop their career within a technical engineering environment. Previous experience within CNC machinery, machine tools, engineering, manufacturing, or industrial equipment would be advantageous, however full product training will be provided.

\n

The Role

\n

Working as part of a busy and supportive After Sales team, you will play a key role in delivering first-class customer service and ensuring customers receive the parts and support they need.

\n

Key responsibilities include:

\n
    \n
  • Responding to customer enquiries via telephone and email.
  • \n
  • Identifying and sourcing spare parts using technical manuals and manufacturer databases.
  • \n
  • Preparing quotations and processing customer orders through to invoicing.
  • \n
  • Liaising with suppliers and manufacturers to source parts and track deliveries.
  • \n
  • Supporting Field Service Engineers with parts recommendations and quotations.
  • \n
  • Processing warranty claims, returns and service documentation.
  • \n
  • Maintaining accurate stock records and supporting inventory control activities.
  • \n
  • Building strong customer relationships and providing excellent after-sales support.
  • \n

About You

\n

The successful candidate will have:

\n
    \n
  • Experience within a Parts Advisor, Service Administrator, Customer Service, Internal Sales or After Sales Support position.
  • \n
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • \n
  • A proactive and customer-focused approach.
  • \n
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • \n
  • Good IT skills and confidence using business systems.
  • \n
\n

Desirable but not essential:

    \n
  • Experience within engineering, manufacturing, CNC machinery or machine tools.
  • \n
  • Experience using Sage, ERP systems or stock control software.
  • \n
  • Ability to interpret technical documentation.
  • \n
\n
