We are seeking a dedicated Receptionist, Student & Visitor Services Officer to join our clients team. This role is pivotal in managing telephone and email enquiries, ensuring daily registers are completed, and providing exemplary reception services. The successful candidate will also serve as the primary first aider during specific morning hours.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Act as the first point of contact for all visitors, students, parents, and external stakeholders, ensuring a warm, professional reception service.
  • \n
  • Manage visitor sign-in and sign-out procedures, adhering to safeguarding protocols.
  • \n
  • Handle incoming telephone calls, emails, and enquiries, directing them appropriately.
  • \n
  • Provide day-to-day support to students, manage student sign-in and sign-out processes, and oversee pupil attendance.
  • \n
  • Provide administrative support across various functions, including event management for school’s Open Day and maintaining up-to-date pupil and staff records.
  • \n
  • Undertake additional tasks as requested by management, maintaining high professional standards at all times.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

\n
    \n
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to relate well to people at all levels.
  • \n
  • Proven organisational and administrative skills, able to remain calm under pressure.
  • \n
  • Experience in a customer-facing role is essential; experience in an educational setting is desirable.
  • \n
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications; experience with school MIS (iSAMS or SIMS) is desirable.
  • \n
  • Must be able to handle sensitive and confidential information discreetly.
  • \n

Additional Information:

  • The role includes standard hours of 7.30am to 4.30pm with occasional late working to cover absences, compensated with overtime pay or time off in lieu.

  • All staff members are expected to attend significant school events such as Open Day and Prize Day.
