\nKey Responsibilities
\n\nRegulatory Compliance & Governance
\n· Maintain compliance framework covering:
\n· Data protection (UK GDPR, DPA, PECR)
\n· Consumer protection (DMCCA)
\n· Advertising compliance (ASA/CAP)
\n· Fraud prevention requirements
\n· Ensure business practices, policies, and customer interactions meet regulatory standards
\n· Provide clear, commercially minded, pragmatic compliance guidance
\n\nPrivacy & Data Protection

- Own the organisation's data protection framework and policies \n
- Ensure all uses of personal data are lawful, transparent, and compliant \n
· Oversee Subject Access Requests (SARs), law enforcement data requests and data breach reporting
\n· Advise on privacy risks across business and marketing activity
\n\nConsumer Protection & Marketing Compliance
\n· Ensure compliance with DMCCA and ASA/CAP Code
\n· Provide commercial oversight of customer and marketing activity
\n· Support resolution of customer queries and complaints
\n\nFraud Prevention & Risk

- Work with the fraud team to protect customers, suppliers, and the business \n
- Ensure controls are effective, proportionate and aligned to evolving threats \n
Regulatory Engagement
\n· Manage relationships with Trading Standards, ICO, and ASA
\n· Handle regulatory enquiries, investigations, and reporting
\n· Represent the business in external communications
\n\nStakeholder Engagement

- Partner with including Directors and leadership teams \n
· Collaborate across Customer Services, Retail, Marketing, IT, HR and Group functions (Privacy, Legal, Risk)
\nProfile
\nEssential
\n- \n
- Minimum 5+ years' experience in a regulatory compliance role \n
- Commercially minded. \n
- Strong expertise in:\n
- \n
- Data protection and privacy regulation \n
- Consumer protection legislation (including DMCCA) \n
- Marketing/advertising compliance (ASA/CAP) \n
\n - Proven experience engaging directly with regulators \n
- Strong understanding of fraud risk and prevention frameworks, ability to balance regulatory requirements with commercial objectives \n
- Experience managing high-risk issues, complaints, and regulatory enquiries \n
Desirable

- Experience in a large or medium sized business providing services to consumers \n
- Formal compliance, legal or risk qualification (e.g. ICA, CIPP/E, or equivalent) \n
