HR Generalist (ER Focused)Hybrid, North Essex Up to £57,000pa (£29ph)1 Year Fixed Term Contract Pure are delighted to be working on a unique opportunity that has arisen for an experienced HR Generalist with strong Employee Relations expertise to join a well-established, purpose-driven organisation on a 12-month fixed-term basis. This is a hands-on role where you will play a key part in managing complex ER casework, supporting managers, and stabilising HR operations within a fast-paced environment. You will bring structure, confidence, and pace to a busy function while helping lay the foundations for future improvements.Key Responsibilities:Employee Relations & Case Management\n

- Lead and manage a high volume of complex ER cases, including disciplinary, grievance, absence, and capability matters \n
- Provide clear, pragmatic, and legally sound guidance to managers \n
- Ensure timely progression of cases with strong documentation and risk management \n
- Identify trends and provide insights to support continuous improvement \n

- Coach and support managers in handling people issues effectively \n
- Build confidence in applying HR policy and employment law \n
- Provide real-time guidance across performance, conduct, and wellbeing matters \n
- Deliver case debriefs and knowledge-sharing to upskill leadership teams \n
- \n
- Provide accurate and timely advice on HR policies and processes \n
- Support and enhance HR procedures, templates, and toolkits \n
- Step into operational gaps to ensure service continuity \n
- \n
- Introduce structure and consistency across ER and HR processes \n
- Support the transition towards a more proactive, business-partnering HR model \n
- Contribute to building a data-led and insight-driven HR function \n

- Line manage junior HR team members \n
- Promote a collaborative, high-performance, and learning-focused culture \n
- Support wider team development and capability building \n

- Strong HR generalist background with significant ER case management experience \n
- Proven ability to handle complex and high-volume workloads \n
- Experience coaching and developing managers \n
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment \n
- Track record of improving processes and delivering operational HR support \n
- \n
- CIPD Level 5 qualified (or equivalent experience) \n
- \n
- Sound knowledge of UK employment law \n
- Strong influencing and stakeholder management skills \n
- High levels of professionalism, integrity, and sound judgement \n
- Commercial awareness and problem-solving ability \n
- Passion for delivering high-quality HR services and continuous improvement \n
