~ Accounts Assistant / Purchase Ledger ~ Permanent Role~ 100% onsite in Birkenhead~ Salary up to £30,000 DOE~ Would also consider candidates seeking part-time hoursThe OpportunityAn exciting opportunity has arisen for a Finance Assistant / Purchase Ledger Clerk to join a well-established business within the construction sector based on the Wirral.The successful individual will join a friendly and supportive finance team, reporting directly to the Financial Controller.This role would suit an experienced Purchase Ledger professional looking for a varied position within a collaborative working environment.Key Responsibilities

• Processing high volumes of purchase invoices accurately and efficiently
\n
• Matching, batching and coding invoices
\n
• Reconciling supplier statements and resolving queries
\n
• Assisting with payment runs
\n
• Managing and maintaining supplier accounts
\n
• Supporting the Financial Controller with day-to-day finance duties
\n
• Assisting with credit card reconciliations
\n
• Ensuring financial records are maintained accurately and in line with company procedures
\n
• Providing ad hoc support across the finance function as required
\n

The successful candidate will have:

\n
• Previous Purchase Ledger experience
\n
• Experience using Sage 50
\n
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
\n
• Good communication skills and the ability to build relationships with suppliers and colleagues
\n
• The ability to work independently while also contributing to a team environment
\n
• Experience within the construction sector would be advantageous, although not essential
\n
