- Help shape the future of a growing logistics operation. \n

- Supporting the Logistics Manager with the day to day management of the transport operation while providing leadership cover during periods of absence. \n
- Supervising, coaching and supporting the Transport Planner and driver team to achieve high levels of performance and engagement. \n
- Overseeing daily transport activities including route planning, vehicle loading, dispatch and delivery performance. \n
- Monitoring compliance through driver hours, digital tachograph reporting, Working Time Directive requirements and infringement investigations. \n
- Coordinating fleet planning, including servicing, MOTs, inspections and defect management to maximise vehicle availability. \n
- Building strong relationships with customers, suppliers, external hauliers and internal departments to ensure an efficient and responsive operation. \n
- Supporting audits, continuous improvement initiatives and maintaining compliance with Operator Licence requirements and transport legislation. \n
- \n
- Experience within a transport, logistics or fleet supervisory environment, or the ambition and capability to step into a leadership role. \n
- A strong understanding of UK transport legislation, Operator Licence compliance and the Working Time Directive. \n
- Excellent route planning, operational coordination and problem solving skills. \n
- The ability to confidently manage changing priorities within a fast paced transport environment. \n
- Strong communication and relationship building skills with colleagues, customers and external partners. \n
- High levels of resilience, organisation and attention to detail. \n
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Teams. \n
- A hands on approach with a willingness to support the wider operation when needed. \n
- A TM CPC qualification would be advantageous, although support will be available for candidates who are keen to achieve this qualification. \n

- £40,000 - £45,000 DOE \n
