Senior Claims Handler - Care Claims Team
\nOur Care Claims team handles complex, high-impact claims that genuinely matter, supporting organisations and individuals through some of their most challenging moments. We're now looking for a Senior Claims Handler to join our Leeds team due to internal progression, giving you the opportunity to step into a well-established, high-performing environment with real scope to grow.

\n\nWhat You'll Be Doing
\n\nYou'll take ownership of a diverse and complex caseload, handling claims across multiple lines, including:
\n* Employers' Liability (EL)
\n* Public Liability (PL)
\n* Professional Indemnity / Professional Negligence
\n* Personal Injury
\n* Management Liability, Cyber & Commercial Crime
\n* Inquests and sensitive safeguarding matters
\n\nYou'll also:
\n* Manage claims from initial notification through to settlement
\n* Develop and drive your own claims strategy
\n* Work closely with policyholders, brokers, and solicitors
\n* Handle high-value and occasionally high-profile claims
\n* Build strong customer relationships and deliver great outcomes
\nYou'll have real autonomy - not just process execution, but ownership of decisions.

\n* Specialist Care Claims team (not just injury or casualty)
\n* Handling multi-line, highly varied work
\n* Approx. 8 handlers across 2 teams

\n\nWhat We're Looking For
\nEssential:
\n* Experience in claims handling OR a legal background (solicitor / legal exec)
\n* Exposure to EL / PL / liability claims
\n* Experience with personal injury or professional negligence
\n* Ability to manage complex cases independently
\n* Strong communication and decision-making skills
\n\nHighly Desirable:
\n* Experience in an insurance claims environment
\n* Background in care / healthcare or sensitive claims
\n* Exposure to multi-line claims
\nThis is a claims role (not a legal career path). You must have a genuine interest in care sector work and should be comfortable with sensitive and sometimes challenging but quality cases.
