BMW Technical Trainer - Automotive Salary - £40,170 + company car or £4,200 car allowance We are seeking an experienced Automotive Technical Trainer / Automotive Instructor to join the team at the BMW Group Academy in Wokefield Park. This is an exciting opportunity for either:\n

• An experienced Technical Trainer or Automotive Instructor, or

• A Senior Technician or Master Technician looking to transition into a training career within the automotive industry.

Working within a world-class training environment, you will deliver high-quality automotive technical training programmes to technicians across the BMW retailer network. Your role will be to support the development of automotive professionals through engaging classroom and workshop-based learning, helping technicians develop their knowledge across the latest vehicle technologies, diagnostics, electrification, and manufacturer systems. You will play a key role in ensuring technicians receive the skills, knowledge, and technical competence required to maintain the high standards expected across the BMW retailer network. • Deliver engaging automotive technical training programmes in both classroom and workshop environments.
\n
• Provide training on vehicle diagnostics, repair procedures, electrical systems, and emerging automotive technologies.
\n
• Deliver training courses aligned with manufacturer standards, quality frameworks, and industry best practice.
\n
• Support technicians in developing practical skills through structured hands-on workshop sessions.
\n
• Ensure training delivery remains engaging, interactive, and focused on real-world automotive applications.
\n

Assessment & Development\n

\n
• Conduct technical competency assessments for automotive technicians.
\n
• Support and coordinate relevant IMI assessment documentation and quality assurance processes.
\n
• Provide constructive feedback to learners to support their development and progression.
\n
• Monitor learner performance and adapt training approaches to maximise knowledge retention and practical application.
\n

Candidate ProfileWe welcome applications from both experienced trainers and highly skilled automotive technicians who are passionate about sharing their knowledge and developing others.Essential Experience\n

\n
• Strong background working within the automotive industry.
\n
• Experience working as a Senior Technician, Master Technician, Diagnostic Technician, or Automotive Technical Trainer.
\n
• Broad knowledge of modern automotive technologies, diagnostics, electrical systems, and vehicle repair procedures.
\n
• Level 3 Automotive qualification (NVQ / IMI / City & Guilds or equivalent).
\n
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
\n

Desirable Experience\n

\n
• Previous experience delivering technical training or automotive instruction.
\n
• Experience working within a manufacturer training environment or automotive academy.
\n
• Knowledge of BMW retailer systems or processes (desirable but not essential).
\n
• Teaching or assessing qualifications such as Level 3 Award in Education & Training (AET), Assessor Awards, or equivalent.
