BMW Technical Trainer - Automotive Salary - £40,170 + company car or £4,200 car allowance We are seeking an experienced Automotive Technical Trainer / Automotive Instructor to join the team at the BMW Group Academy in Wokefield Park. This is an exciting opportunity for either:\n
- \n
- An experienced Technical Trainer or Automotive Instructor, or \n
- A Senior Technician or Master Technician looking to transition into a training career within the automotive industry. \n
- \n
- Deliver engaging automotive technical training programmes in both classroom and workshop environments. \n
- Provide training on vehicle diagnostics, repair procedures, electrical systems, and emerging automotive technologies. \n
- Deliver training courses aligned with manufacturer standards, quality frameworks, and industry best practice. \n
- Support technicians in developing practical skills through structured hands-on workshop sessions. \n
- Ensure training delivery remains engaging, interactive, and focused on real-world automotive applications. \n
- \n
- Conduct technical competency assessments for automotive technicians. \n
- Support and coordinate relevant IMI assessment documentation and quality assurance processes. \n
- Provide constructive feedback to learners to support their development and progression. \n
- Monitor learner performance and adapt training approaches to maximise knowledge retention and practical application. \n
- \n
- Strong background working within the automotive industry. \n
- Experience working as a Senior Technician, Master Technician, Diagnostic Technician, or Automotive Technical Trainer. \n
- Broad knowledge of modern automotive technologies, diagnostics, electrical systems, and vehicle repair procedures. \n
- Level 3 Automotive qualification (NVQ / IMI / City & Guilds or equivalent). \n
- Strong communication and presentation skills. \n
- \n
- Previous experience delivering technical training or automotive instruction. \n
- Experience working within a manufacturer training environment or automotive academy. \n
- Knowledge of BMW retailer systems or processes (desirable but not essential). \n
- Teaching or assessing qualifications such as Level 3 Award in Education & Training (AET), Assessor Awards, or equivalent. \n
