Finance Manager

Location: South LakesSalary: Up to £65,000

Butler Rose are exclusively partnering with an established South Lakes business to recruit a Finance Manager. This key role will oversee financial control, reporting, compliance, cashflow, and team development, supporting performance through strong governance and insight.

• Lead month-end and year-end close processes to timetable.
\n
• Review journals and balance sheet reconciliations.
\n
• Maintain general ledger integrity and policy compliance.
\n
• Manage fixed assets, depreciation, and disposals.
\n
• Oversee stock accounting and controls with operations.
\n
• Manage lease accounting and reporting.
\n
• Reconcile and clear intercompany balances.
\n

• Maintain strong internal controls across finance.
\n
• Ensure balance sheet reconciliations are accurate and understood.
\n
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and policies.
\n
• Support internal and external audits.
\n
• Improve finance processes, reporting, and systems.
\n

\n
• Prepare weekly rolling cashflow forecasts with risks and opportunities.
\n
• Monitor debtors, creditors, and stock performance.
\n
• Oversee accounts payable, suppliers, and approvals.
\n
• Support strong cash management across the business.
\n

\n
• Maintain controls across revenue, cost, and margin.
\n
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and planning.
\n
• Assist with audits and compliance activity.
\n
• Drive process improvements.
\n

\n
• Lead, coach, and develop the finance team.
\n
• Manage workloads and priorities to meet deadlines.
\n
• Provide training and regular feedback.
\n
• Promote collaboration, accountability, and improvement.
\n

\n
• Qualified accountant (CIMA / ACCA / ACA) or qualified by experience.
\n
• Experience in multi-site, operational, project-led environments.
\n
• Experience of ERP implementations or finance process automation.
\n
