Job Title: HR Administrator (Fixed Term Contract)
\nLocation: Shepton MalletSalary: Up to £29,000 per annumContract: Fixed Term – 12–18 monthsWorking Pattern: Full-time, with one day per week working from home
\nAbout the Role
\nWe are recruiting an HR Administrator to join the HR function on a fixed-term basis during a period of transition. The role will initially be offered for 12–18 months, reflecting current uncertainty while we implement a new HRIS system and integrate Payroll into HR.
\nThis is a hands-on role for someone who is confident, highly detail-focused and able to simply get on with it in an environment where not everything is fully defined yet.
\nKey Responsibilities

- Provide end-to-end HR administrative support across the employee lifecycle, including:\n
- \n
- Starters, leavers and contractual changes \n
- Preparation of contracts, letters and HR documentation \n
- Accurate maintenance of employee records \n
\n - Work within a largely manual HR environment while new systems and processes are introduced \n
- Create, document and embed HR processes where none currently exist \n
- Support the integration of Payroll into the HR function and help reduce duplication of activity \n
- Act as a first point of contact for HR-related queries, delivering a strong customer service experience \n
- Ensure high levels of accuracy and compliance in all HR data and outputs \n
- Support the Head of HR with ad hoc activity in a fast-moving, change-led environment \n
Key Skills & Experience

- Previous experience in an HR Administrator or HR support role \n
- Confidence, exceptional attention to detail and the ability to just get on with the job \n
- Comfortable working with ambiguity and changing priorities \n
- Ability to work independently and take ownership, even where processes are still evolving \n
- Strong organisational and time-management skills \n
- Confident documenting processes and creating structure from scratch \n
- A clear customer service mentality and confident communication style \n
