Location: NorthumberlandSalary: £60,000 plus performance bonus of up to £6,000Job Type: Full Time

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and passionate OFSTED Registered Residential Child Care Manager to lead a brand-new therapeutic children's home in Northumberland.

\n

This is an exciting opportunity to establish a high-quality service, build and develop a dedicated team, and create a safe, nurturing environment where children can thrive. Supported by an experienced senior leadership team, you will play a key role in delivering outstanding, trauma-informed care.

A relocation package is available for the successful candidate.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the children's home, ensuring compliance with OFSTED regulations and Children's Homes Quality Standards.
  • \n
  • Support the home's registration process and ongoing development.
  • \n
  • Recruit, lead and develop a high-performing staff team.
  • \n
  • Deliver therapeutic, child-centred care focused on positive outcomes.
  • \n
  • Manage budgets, staffing, safeguarding and quality assurance.
  • \n
  • Build effective relationships with local authorities, families and partner agencies.
  • \n

About You

\n
    \n
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
  • \n
  • Minimum two years' experience as a Registered Manager, Deputy Manager or senior leader within a residential children's home.
  • \n
  • Strong knowledge of OFSTED, safeguarding and Children's Homes Regulations.
  • \n
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • \n
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • \n
