VAN DRIVER – ALFRETON

People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Van Driver – Alfreton to join our well-established client based in Alfreton. This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay, weekly pay, ongoing work and genuine opportunities for long-term progression.

This role is ongoing for the right candidate and would suit applicants with experience as a Van Driver, Multi-Drop Driver, Delivery Driver, Courier Driver or Category B Driver.

Please note: You must be 21 years of age or over for our client's insurance purposes.

Shifts

• Monday to Friday • Early shifts

Rates of Pay

• £14.61 per hour

Day-to-Day Duties

As a Van Driver, your duties will include (but are not limited to):

• Loading and unloading your vehicle at the beginning and end of each shift • Delivering goods to medical centres and doctors' surgeries • Working a minimum of eight hours per shift • Carrying out daily vehicle checks and reporting any vehicle defects or maintenance requirements • Providing excellent customer service at every delivery point • Completing delivery paperwork accurately and efficiently

Essential Skills

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• A valid UK Category B Driving Licence • To have held your driving licence for a minimum of 12 months • Be aged 21 or over for insurance purposes • No more than six penalty points for minor offences (No IN, DR, DD or CD endorsements) • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • A reliable, professional and customer-focused approach

Desirable Experience

• Previous commercial van driving or multi-drop delivery experience would be beneficial

Training Provided

• Paid site induction following a successful theory and driving assessment • A minimum of three training shifts alongside an experienced driver • Industry-related training and ongoing support throughout your assignment
