What you'll do\nAs a Payroll Specialist, you will be responsible for delivering accurate payroll processing while ensuring compliance with UK payroll legislation and company policies.
\nKey responsibilities include:

- Processing payroll accurately and within agreed deadlines. \n
- Maintaining employee payroll records and ensuring data accuracy. \n
- Calculating statutory payments, deductions, pensions, overtime, bonuses, and payroll adjustments. \n
- Processing new starters, leavers, salary changes, and other employee updates. \n
- Ensuring compliance with HMRC requirements, pension regulations, and company procedures. \n
- Reconciling payroll data and resolving discrepancies. \n
- Responding to payroll-related queries from employees and managers in a professional and timely manner. \n
- Supporting month-end and year-end payroll activities, reporting, and audits. \n
- Working closely with HR and Finance to ensure payroll information is accurate. \n
- Identifying opportunities to improve payroll processes and efficiency. \n
To be successful, you will have previous payroll experience and a solid understanding of payroll processes and UK legislation. You will be highly organised, detail-focused, and able to manage competing priorities while maintaining accuracy.
\nYou will ideally have:

- Previous experience working in payroll. \n
- Good knowledge of UK payroll legislation, tax, National Insurance, pensions, and statutory payments. \n
- Experience using payroll systems and Microsoft Excel. \n
- Excellent attention to detail and strong numerical skills. \n
- The ability to work to deadlines and manage multiple priorities. \n
- Strong communication and customer service skills. \n
- A proactive approach with excellent problem-solving abilities. \n
A payroll qualification, such as CIPP, would be beneficial but is not essential.
