Overview

We are currently recruiting for a part-time Accounts Assistant to support a busy NHS triage service with a large patient database. This is a temporary ongoing position, ideal for someone with strong attention to detail and previous experience in a fast-paced finance environment.

Key Responsibilities

\n
    \n
  • Supporting day-to-day finance operations within the organisation
  • \n
  • Processing purchase orders and maintaining accurate records
  • \n
  • Recording sales transactions and updating financial systems
  • \n
  • Carrying out account reconciliations to ensure accuracy
  • \n
  • Chasing outstanding payments in a professional and timely manner
  • \n
  • Managing a shared NHS email inbox, responding to queries and patient-related financial requests
  • \n
  • Matching invoices and resolving any discrepancies
  • \n
  • Assisting with general finance administration as required
  • \n

Skills & Experience Required

\n
    \n
  • AAT Level 2 qualification (essential)
  • \n
  • Previous experience in an accounts or finance assistant role
  • \n
  • Working knowledge of Xero accounting software
  • \n
  • Strong organisational skills with high attention to detail
  • \n
  • Ability to manage workload and prioritise tasks effectively
  • \n
  • Confident communication skills, both written and verbal
  • \n
  • Experience working within healthcare or NHS settings (desirable but not essential)
  • \n
