School Psychologist - Zachary, Louisiana

Step into a dynamic role providing vital support across multiple school sites serving K-12 students. As a School Psychologist, you’ll join a collaborative team committed to fostering student development and ensuring educational success. This part-time, 29-hour-per-week contract position offers the opportunity to work with diverse populations and collaborate with educational diagnosticians, social workers, speech-language pathologists, and administrators. The assignment is set for the 2026-2027 school year, with insightful professional development days at the end of July to jumpstart your impact.

What We’re Looking For:

• Valid Louisiana Department of Education School Psychology certification (required)
• Strong grasp of psychoeducational evaluations and IDEA compliance
• Proficiency in interpreting assessment data, writing comprehensive evaluation reports, and knowledge of special education eligibility
• Capable of effectively communicating assessment results to parents, educators, and multidisciplinary school teams
• Excellent organizational and time management skills with a track record of meeting evaluation timelines
• Demonstrated experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
• Bilingual candidates are highly encouraged to apply
• Must be able to complete a district background check and fingerprinting prior to start
• Willingness to work on-site (hybrid flexibility may be available)

What You’ll Do:

• Conduct educational assessments, identify student needs, and deliver reports within designated timeframes
• Provide consultation and referrals to students and families
• Collaborate with school staff to develop and implement educational and behavioral strategies
• Maintain thorough records for program accountability and service continuity
• Explain assessment processes and results to parents and school personnel; contribute to IEP and eligibility meetings
• Participate in in-service training and district meetings
