Staff Trial Attorney

\nWe are seeking a Staff Attorney to become a part of our team! You will represent clients in civil legal proceedings including trials, draw up legal documents, and advise clients on legal transactions related to civil defense litigation.\n
\n
\n*General Duties:*\n
\n
\n* Staff Counsel trial Attorney job duties include defending company-insured clients or the organization itself in civil litigation, insurance defense, and personal injury cases.\n
\n* Manage full caseloads from discovery through trial.\n
\n* Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery documents; conduct legal research and handle expert witness retention.\n
\n* Develop litigation strategies, conduct settlement negotiations, and report case progress to claims associates and clients.\n
\n* Represent clients and the company in court proceedings, including trials, hearings, and mediations.\n
\n
\n*Qualifications for this position:*\n
\n
\n* Member in good standing with the State Bar of California\n
\n* Minimum 1 year of civil litigation experience, preferably insurance defense litigation, including jury trial experience\n
\n* Strong research and writing skills and excellent work ethic required\n
\n* Excellent written and verbal communication skills\n
\n* Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred but not required\n
\n
\n*Skills necessary for this position:*\n
\n
\n* Superior awareness of and compliance with all applicable rules of professional conduct\n
\n* Substantial experience in civil litigation, preferably insurance defense litigation, including jury trial experience\n
\n* Comprehensive legal knowledge which promotes standards of professional practice and strong knowledge of the litigation environment in California\n
\n
