Gynecologic Oncologist Opportunity

Our organization is in search of a board-eligible or board-certified physician who has completed a fellowship in gynecologic oncology. This role focuses on leading and enhancing a robust community-based program. The existing program provides patients with access to advanced minimally invasive and radical surgical options, chemotherapy, clinical trials, as well as comprehensive benign gynecology services, high-risk screening, survivorship programs, and clinics dedicated to sexual health and lifestyle.

We welcome candidates with experience and enthusiasm for clinical research, including participation in clinical trials through pharmaceutical companies and cooperative groups, as well as outcomes-based research. Proficiency in advanced laparoscopic and robotic techniques is highly desirable. The ideal applicant will have a keen interest in contributing to a well-established oncology program located in the northwest suburbs, joining the medical staff at our facilities in Huntley and McHenry.

• Become part of a multidisciplinary team that includes medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, and pathologists with specialized expertise.
• Collaborate with interventional radiologists, hematologists, surgical oncologists, thoracic and breast surgeons, general surgeons, and urologists.
• The primary clinic is situated in Huntley, IL.
• Hospital privileges are available at our Huntley and McHenry locations.
• The cancer program features dedicated palliative care specialists and support staff, including a gynecologic oncology nurse navigator, genetic counselors, dietitians, social workers, financial counselors, physical therapists, and specialists in pelvic floor and lymphedema care, along with access to the Living Well Cancer Resource Center.
• We provide committed support from physician assistants and nurse practitioners for both inpatient and outpatient care.
• A multidisciplinary gynecologic oncology tumor board convenes weekly, with teleconferencing capabilities among three cancer centers in the western region.
• Opportunities to engage in cooperative group and industry-sponsored clinical trials are available.
• Access to a dedicated surgical ICU, staffed with intensivists and hospitalists available 24/7.
• Utilization of advanced technology, including two Xi da Vinci robots, PET/CT, and 640-slice CT scanners.
• A clinical appointment at the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine is available.
• Compensation ranges from $405,000 to $545,000.
