Bring your expertise to an impactful contract opportunity working across multiple PK-12 campuses as a School Psychologist for the 2026-2027 school year. In this dynamic, part-time role (29 hours per week, with hybrid flexibility considered), you’ll provide critical support to students as part of a multidisciplinary team. The position spans several schools and will commence with professional development days starting July 27th, leading directly into the school year.

Responsibilities include:

  • Conducting psychoeducational assessments and preparing comprehensive, timely written reports
  • Explaining assessment results thoughtfully to parents, teachers, and administrators
  • Collaborating closely with families, educators, and related service providers on educational and behavioral interventions
  • Maintaining case records, following strict program accountability and confidentiality guidelines
  • Supporting eligibility decisions and the development of individualized programs for students
  • Participating in professional development with school staff and parents
  • Referring students and families to community resources as needed
  • Upholding compliance with IDEA and district processes for special education

Qualifications sought:

  • Current, valid Louisiana DOE School Psychology certification
  • Experience with administration, scoring, and interpretation of psychoeducational assessments
  • Proficiency in preparing detailed evaluation reports and meeting stringent deadlines
  • Deep understanding of special education law, multidisciplinary team functioning, and eligibility criteria
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
  • Experience working within schools with students K-12
  • Bilingual abilities are a welcome asset
  • Ability to clear the required background check and district fingerprinting
