Geriatrician - Boise & Eagle, ID

Our organization is a physician-led multispecialty group with over 650 providers, presenting an exceptional opportunity for a Geriatrician to become part of a distinctive, multidisciplinary team-based clinic. This team supports our Memory Center and Geriatrics Consult Clinic, consisting of Geriatricians, Neurologists, a Geriatric Psychiatrist, Advanced Practice Practitioners, Social Workers, Pharmacists, and a Chaplain. We operate clinics in Boise, Nampa (just 20 minutes from Boise), and Eagle (15 minutes from Boise). Interested physicians may have the flexibility to work from any of these locations, engage in inpatient care with our G60 program, and participate in teaching as an attending for Geriatric fellows, residents, and medical students during their geriatric rotations.

Ideal candidates should demonstrate a strong passion and expertise in addressing health issues related to older adults. They should be committed to providing high-quality, compassionate care that nurtures the body, mind, and spirit. This full-time position features a traditional weekday schedule, comprising a 4-day work week focused on direct patient care, along with 1 day allocated for administrative duties, ensuring a minimum of 34 hours dedicated to patient interaction.

• Provide comprehensive care to older adults in a multidisciplinary setting.
• Engage in teaching and mentoring medical students and residents.
• Participate in inpatient care through the G60 program.

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree.
• Completion of an accredited residency program in internal medicine or family medicine.
• Geriatrics Expertise:
  • Certificate of Added Qualifications (CAQ) in Geriatric Medicine from the American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM), or
  • CAQ in Geriatric Medicine from the American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine (AOBIM), or
  • Certification in the Subspecialty of Geriatric Medicine from the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM), or
  • Ability to obtain such certification within 3 years of employment, or
  • A minimum of ten years of practice experience primarily focused on the care of older patients.
• Possession of an Idaho medical license, registration with the Idaho Board of Pharmacy, and DEA certification for controlled substances, along with privileges at the local regional medical center.
