A well-established engineering and manufacturing organization is seeking a Senior PCB Design Engineer to support the development of advanced RF, analog, and digital electronic systems. This position plays a key role in the design and layout of complex printed circuit board assemblies used in high-performance applications.
Position Overview
The Senior PCB Design Engineer will be responsible for the detailed design, layout, and documentation of RF, analog, and digital circuit card assemblies. This individual will collaborate closely with electrical engineers, manufacturing teams, and external suppliers to develop reliable, cost-effective designs while ensuring compliance with technical and production requirements.

Position Overview
The Senior PCB Design Engineer will be responsible for the detailed design, layout, and documentation of RF, analog, and digital circuit card assemblies. This individual will collaborate closely with electrical engineers, manufacturing teams, and external suppliers to develop reliable, cost-effective designs while ensuring compliance with technical and production requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop RF, analog, and digital printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs) and multilayer PCBs.
- Create detailed PCB layouts, schematics, assembly drawings, routing drawings, and related design documentation.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to evaluate customer requirements and determine technical feasibility, cost, and schedule considerations.
- Support the development of design concepts and establish appropriate design approaches for new projects.
- Provide technical guidance to engineers, designers, and drafters throughout the product development process.
- Identify and implement cost-reduction opportunities related to PCB design, fabrication, and assembly.
- Coordinate with PCB fabricators, suppliers, and manufacturing partners to ensure design requirements are met.
- Support proposal development by providing estimates for design effort, schedules, materials, and manufacturing considerations.
- Maintain design documentation, engineering records, bills of materials, schematics, and revision-controlled files.
- Ensure designs align with industry standards, manufacturability requirements, and quality objectives.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
- 7+ years of PCB design, electrical design, or related engineering experience.
- Strong experience designing RF, analog, and digital circuit card assemblies.
- Experience with single-layer, multilayer, and high-density PCB designs.
- Knowledge of surface mount technology (SMT) and hybrid circuit technologies.
- Experience supporting RF and/or DC circuit board designs.
- Understanding of electrical, mechanical, and electro-mechanical integration principles.
- Proficiency with PCB design software such as Mentor PADS, Logic, or comparable design tools.
- Strong documentation, organization, and technical communication skills.
- Experience supporting aerospace, defense, communications, industrial electronics, or other high-reliability applications.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and engineering document control processes.
- Experience using Costpoint or similar business systems.
- Working knowledge of Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD.
- Experience coordinating with PCB fabrication and assembly vendors.
- Background in design-for-manufacturing (DFM) and design-for-testability (DFT) methodologies.
