Material Handler / Sit-Down Forklift Operator

Now Hiring – Multiple Openings!

We are currently hiring Material Handlers for a long-term opportunity at a customer facility in Mount Vernon, IL. This position primarily involves operating a sit-down forklift while assisting with material handling and tire recycling operations. Forklift training will be provided onsite for qualified candidates.

Pay & Shift Options
1st Shift
  • 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
  • $17.50/hour
Night Shift
  • 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
  • $18.20/hour
Schedule: 12-hour shifts following the Pitman Shift Schedule (rotating schedule with every other weekend off).

Job Responsibilities
  • Operate a sit-down forklift safely and efficiently.
  • Load, unload, and transport materials throughout the facility.
  • Manually load and move tires when needed.
  • Operate balers and other material handling equipment.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Follow all safety procedures and work instructions.
  • Work closely with Project Managers and other team members.
Requirements
  • Previous forklift experience preferred.
  • Ability to lift and move materials as needed.
  • Steel-toed boots are required.
  • Must bring:
    • Safety gloves
    • High-visibility vest
    • Safety glasses
  • Valid State ID or Driver's License required.
  • Ability to work 12-hour rotating shifts.
  • Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
