Looking to make a meaningful difference in student outcomes across a range of grade levels? This contract opportunity is ideal for dynamic school psychologists who thrive in collaborative, multidisciplinary education environments. You’ll work across multiple PK-12 campuses, supporting students, families, and staff both directly and in a consultative role. The role begins with a couple of professional development days in late July, and interviews are set to begin soon—so timing is key for candidates ready to step in and make an impact.

Qualifications:

  • Active Louisiana DOE School Psychology certification required
  • Background check and fingerprinting for district credentialing
  • Solid grasp of psychoeducational evaluations and IDEA compliance
  • Experience conducting and interpreting comprehensive assessments
  • Proficiency in writing detailed evaluation reports
  • Knowledge of special education eligibility and multidisciplinary team processes
  • Bilingual skills are a plus
  • Ability to communicate assessment findings clearly to diverse audiences
  • Strong organizational abilities for maintaining records and meeting compliance timelines
  • Experience collaborating with educators, related service providers, and families

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychoeducational assessments for K-12 students across multiple school sites
  • Maintain timely and thorough documentation and reporting
  • Explain assessment processes and results to parents, teachers, and school administrators
  • Advise on educational and behavioral interventions, eligibility, and best practices
  • Make appropriate community referrals for students and families
  • Participate in in-service trainings and support ongoing professional development
  • Attend professional development days starting July 27
  • Collaborate as part of a multidisciplinary team to plan and implement student supports

This position is part-time (29 hrs/week), with some flexibility for hybrid arrangements, and offers the satisfaction that comes from helping students thrive academically and personally.
