Job Description
This onsite role supports biopharmaceutical manufacturing within a cleanroom on a night shift schedule (Wednesday to Saturday, 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM). The Technician will execute cGMP activities in Central Services with guidance, follow established procedures, and document work to GDP standards.
Department Overview
The Manufacturing department executes clinical and commercial manufacturing in accordance with regulatory, site, and client requirements. cGMP activities include solution preparation, master/working cell bank production, upstream cell culture, downstream protein purification, mRNA and molecular therapeutics production, and small-scale fill/finish. The team applies continuous improvement to optimize processes, drive efficiency, reduce waste, and maximize capacity.
Responsibilities:
- Follow Batch Production Records (BPRs) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) per cGMP for right-first-time execution.
- Document activities in BPRs, forms, and quality records in compliance with Good Documentation Practices (GDPs).
- Recognize procedural deviations and escalate through the Rapid Response process.
- Identify safety, quality, and efficiency improvements and participate in continuous improvement culture.
- Support or lead “Just Do It” continuous improvement actions and contribute to CI projects.
- Coach junior team members on basic tasks and assist with onboarding as needed.
- Participate in shift huddles and support shift exchange activities.
- Perform cleanroom housekeeping, including room and equipment cleaning, waste disposal, and 5S upkeep.
- Complete required training to maintain quality compliance within defined timelines.
- Execute basic buffer preparation, including weighing raw materials for production.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- High School Diploma.
- Ability to read, write, hear, and see clearly to perform cGMP tasks and documentation.
- Effective communication and ability to follow and retain detailed written and verbal instructions.
- Time management to meet deadlines and independently seek additional tasks when appropriate.
- Teamwork capability and ability to work independently as required.
- Detail orientation, organization, and ability to work under pressure with multiple deadlines.
- Ability to prioritize business, department, and group needs.
Preferred Skills:
- Prior cleanroom or cGMP experience.
- Exposure to buffer preparation or Central Services activities.
