Cardiac Electrophysiologist

The Cardiology Division and the CardioVascular Center (CVC) at our organization in Boston are on the lookout for a board-certified or board-eligible Cardiac Electrophysiologist to become part of our growing electrophysiology (EP) program.

This full-time faculty role is available at the Assistant or Associate Professor level, depending on the candidate's experience. Applicants should have 3 to 5 years (or more) of experience following their clinical cardiac EP training and should exhibit a strong dedication to delivering high-quality, patient-focused EP care.

Position Highlights:

• Become a member of a collaborative team of 5 Cardiac Electrophysiologists within a busy academic setting.

• Engage actively in an ACGME-accredited Clinical Cardiac EP Program that currently includes 3 fellows, with plans to expand to 4.

• Work in state-of-the-art EP laboratories, performing a comprehensive range of modern electrophysiology procedures, such as:

  • Complex ablation for atrial and ventricular arrhythmias.

  • Pulsed field ablation and advanced electroanatomic mapping techniques.

  • Implantation of cardiac electronic devices, including conduction system pacing, leadless technologies, and extravascular devices.

  • Lead extraction (based on experience and interest).

• As our procedural presence expands in community hospitals, the ability to perform procedures in those settings will be a key aspect of this role.

Clinical and Academic Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive electrophysiology care in both inpatient and outpatient environments.

• Conduct a wide array of EP procedures, including complex ablation and device implantation.

• Play a vital role in the growth and development of the comprehensive ventricular arrhythmia program. The selected candidate will collaborate to enhance referral networks, improve procedural capabilities, and advance multidisciplinary care for patients with complex ventricular arrhythmias.

• Participate in the education and mentorship of internal medicine residents, as well as cardiology and EP fellows.

• Engage in scholarly activities, quality improvement initiatives, and/or clinical research.

• Contribute to the ongoing development and innovation of EP services throughout our healthcare system, including outreach at affiliated community sites.

Qualifications

• MD or DO with board certification/eligibility in Cardiovascular Disease and Clinical Cardiac EP.

• Eligible for medical licensure in Massachusetts.

• Preferred 3 to 5 years of post-fellowship experience.

• Proven excellence in clinical, procedural, and communication skills.

• A strong commitment to patient-centered care and teamwork.

• Interest and experience in academic settings are highly desirable, with ample opportunities for teaching.

Compensation:

The salary range for this position is $XXX to $XXX annually. Actual compensation will be determined during the selection process and will consider various factors, including relevant experience, education, internal equity, and academic rank.
