School Psychologist in Cicero, IL

Embark on a meaningful opportunity supporting the growth and success of students in grades 7 through 12. As a contracted school psychologist, you will play an integral part in facilitating students’ educational journeys by conducting thorough evaluations and providing essential psychological services throughout the academic year.

Key Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid certification and credentials as a school psychologist
• Previous experience working with students at the secondary school level (grades 7-12) preferred
• Strong knowledge of special education processes and regulations, including IEP development
• Proficiency in administering, scoring, and interpreting psychological assessments
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail for documentation and compliance
• Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, families, and support staff

Primary Responsibilities:

• Complete all required initial and re-evaluation paperwork and testing to support IEP development and compliance
• Conduct psychoeducational assessments and interpret results for eligibility and program planning
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop appropriate interventions and recommendations
• Maintain accurate records and ensure adherence to timelines for evaluations and reporting
• Provide direct student support as needed, including crisis intervention or counseling
• Offer consultative guidance to teachers and families to foster student development and success
