SummaryThe Resident Services Nurse (Registered Nurse) plays a crucial role in supporting the Resident Services Director with the comprehensive implementation, delivery, and coordination of Resident Care Services within the community.
Essential Functions- Oversee the associates in the Resident Services Department, including C.N.A.s (Resident Services Assistants).
- Assist in managing the medication program and support residents in self-administering their medications.
- Foster positive relationships with residents, their families, and healthcare providers.
- Report any significant incidents or changes in residents' needs to the Executive Director or Resident Services Director.
- Assist in conducting resident assessments and developing service plans.
- Support clinical assessments and recertifications as per state regulations.
- Help the Resident Services Director with hiring and performance management within the department.
- Participate in the training and orientation of new team members.
- Engage in scheduled in-service programs, training sessions, and team meetings.
- Assist with the scheduling and staffing of Resident Services Assistants as required.
- Provide coaching and mentoring to associates in the Resident Services Department as needed.
- Support residents and their families to ensure a high level of satisfaction.
- Supervise RSA staff during the provision of care.
- Must hold a valid RN or LPN license in the state of Massachusetts.
- Experience in assisted living or long-term care environments is preferred.
- Basic First Aid and CPR certification is required.
