A contract position is available for a dedicated School Psychologist ready to make a positive impact at the elementary and secondary levels for the upcoming academic year. This engaging role offers a balanced schedule of 37.5 hours per week from August 3rd through May 28th.
Key Qualities & Experience:
- Current or eligible for New Mexico Public Education Department (NM PED) School Psychologist licensure
- Experience working with both elementary and secondary school populations
- Strong assessment, counseling, and consultative skills
- Ability to collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Exceptional communication, organization, and interpersonal abilities
Your Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychoeducational evaluations for students
- Provide direct and consultative psychological services in alignment with IEPs and student needs
- Facilitate and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings
- Support teachers and administrators with behavioral interventions and school-wide initiatives
- Offer crisis intervention and short-term counseling as needed
- Contribute expertise to special education eligibility, planning, and progress monitoring
