Aluminum Welder

Responsibilities:
\n • Read and understand basic drawings and weld symbols.
\n • Work efficiently as part of a team to meet daily production goals.
\n • Perform MIG or TIG welding on aluminum in all positions (standing, sitting, kneeling, lying).
\n • Use mirror welding when required.
\n • Safely operate power tools (gougers, circular saws, grinders).
\n • Operate cranes and forklifts.
\n • Assist with equipment maintenance and organization.
\n • Train and mentor less-experienced welders when assigned.
\n • Follow all safety policies and procedures.
\n • Ensure correct construction practices are followed.
\n • Work shifts or overtime as needed.
\n • Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
\n • Monitor and report any safety, quality, or environmental concerns.

Welding Skills:
\n • Weld fillets on 4mm–10mm materials.
\n • Weld frame wraps, terminations, and T-bar wraps with minimal blending.
\n • Weld into corners and vertical intersections.
\n • Identify and correct basic weld defects.
\n • Perform groove/butt welds that pass radiographic testing (NDT).
\n • Use back-step and sequence welding techniques effectively.

Qualifications:
\n • 3+ years of welding experience.
\n • Ability to pass aluminum MIG (GMAW) and/or TIG (GTAW) test.
\n • Ability to meet contract welding requirements.
\n • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent certification (ACT WorkKeys Bronze or higher).
