Join our team as a full-time Obstetrician/Gynecologist in Kamuela, Hawai‘i, where you will serve a diverse patient population and thrive in a collaborative work environment.
In this role, you will be part of a 35-bed rural acute-care hospital, allowing you to develop your skills and establish your own patient panel. Position Overview:- Full-time employment opportunity
- Deliver comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care, encompassing both inpatient and outpatient services
- Flexible scheduling: 3 days per week in clinic, 1 day per week with dedicated OR time, and back-up call with CNM 1-2 days per week
- Weekend call required once a month
- Manage 30 to 40 deliveries monthly
- Clinic patient volume: 16 to 20 patients during an 8-hour shift, depending on the mix of GYN and OB cases
- Collaborate with CNMs in labor and delivery as well as in the clinic
- Support APRNs in the clinic setting
- Guaranteed salary with potential for performance-based incentives
- Annual compensation ranging from $382,000 to $420,000
- Relocation assistance available
- Board eligibility or certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology is mandatory
- NRP certification required
- Experience in low-resource, rural environments is preferred
- A minimum of 2 years of experience is ideal, though new graduates are encouraged to apply
Located on the Big Island of Hawai‘i, our facility is a 35-bed rural acute-care hospital serving Waimea and its neighboring areas. With over 300 employees and more than a dozen physicians, we provide care at the main hospital and outpatient clinics at Lucy Henriques Medical Center. Our Level III Trauma Center is accredited by The Joint Commission and recognized as a Baby-Friendly birth facility.
