\nThe Practice Opportunity
\nWe are recruiting a full-time staff Endocrinologist to join a collegial, mission-driven team committed to providing up-to-date, comprehensive endocrine and diabetes care to our Veterans. You will manage a mix of outpatient and inpatient general endocrine and diabetes consults and perform thyroid fine-needle aspiration with ultrasound guidance. As part of a proud teaching program, you will precept Endocrinology fellows rotating from the Mount Sinai fellowship, supervise medical students, and deliver endocrinology lectures to medical residents several times a year. The schedule is predictable-Monday through Friday with occasional weekend coverage of inpatient consults-giving you meaningful work-life balance. Duties and Clinical Privileges

Provide outpatient and inpatient general endocrine and diabetes consultations.
\n - \n
Perform thyroid fine needle aspiration (FNA) with ultrasound guidance; must demonstrate current proficiency in this procedure.
\n - \n
Precept Endocrinology fellows rotating from the Mount Sinai Endocrinology fellowship.
\n - \n
Supervise medical students and deliver endocrinology lectures to medical residents at least several times per year.
\n - \n
Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive, evidence-based endocrine and diabetes care.
\n - \n
Provide occasional weekend coverage of inpatient consults.
\n
Qualifications
\nBasic Requirements:

United States citizenship. Non-citizens may be appointed only when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens.
\n - \n
Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from an approved school - LCME-accredited allopathic schools, COCA-approved osteopathic schools, or, for foreign medical graduates, schools meeting ECFMG eligibility for the year of graduation.
\n - \n
Current, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or the District of Columbia.
\n - \n
Completed residency training in an accredited core specialty program approved by ACGME or AOA. Alternative pathways include one year of approved postgraduate training plus two years of independent U.S. practice, or non-U.S. residency training followed by a minimum of three years of verified independent U.S. practice in a related field.

Proficiency in spoken and written English.
\n
