General Obstetrician-Gynecologist (Faculty Position)
Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated full-time faculty member to become part of the Division of General Obstetrics and Gynecology within our Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology. This role presents a fantastic opportunity to work in a dynamic academic environment, offering a comprehensive range of clinical, surgical, and educational resources.
About the DepartmentOur department is a full-service tertiary care facility that includes:
- 30 physicians, both part-time and full-time
- 10 advanced practice providers
- 2 full-time genetic counselors
- 24 residents and 6 fellows
- Over 2,500 deliveries annually
- Annual outpatient clinic visits exceeding 18,000
- More than 2,000 general surgical cases and over 250 family planning procedures each year
We cater to a diverse patient population, including those with complex maternal and fetal co-morbidities.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver general obstetrical and gynecological care in both inpatient and outpatient settings
- Participate in hospital and home call coverage
- Engage in the education of medical students and residents
- Explore opportunities for clinical research
- MD or DO from an accredited medical institution
- Eligible for or currently licensed in New York State
- Board certified or board eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology
- Strong clinical abilities with a focus on patient-centered care
- Capability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
- Interest in teaching and a commitment to academic medicine
