OB/GYN Generalist Position

Our organization in Contra Costa County, California, is actively looking for a full-time or part-time, Board Certified/Board Eligible OB/GYN Generalist.

We provide extensive healthcare services to a diverse community in the San Francisco East Bay area. Our facilities include the Contra Costa Family Residency Program, which attracts exceptional residents interested in global health and offers advanced training in obstetrics and women's health. Annually, we handle approximately 2,000 births and feature a level 2 nursery, in-house anesthesia and pediatrics, a bustling emergency department, and general gynecological surgical services.

Position Overview

As an OB/GYN physician employed by the county and a member of the county physician's union, you will enjoy:

Ideal Candidate Profile

We are seeking a candidate who:

  • Shows a genuine commitment to delivering OB/GYN care to a dynamic population, including recent immigrants facing socioeconomic challenges.
  • Possesses strong teaching abilities and the patience required to guide new learners.
  • Has a keen interest in providing ambulatory high-risk antepartum care with Maternal-Fetal Medicine consultation, as well as inpatient obstetrics.
  • Demonstrates proficient surgical skills, including laparoscopic hysterectomies, management of ectopic pregnancies, and ovarian surgeries.
  • Is comfortable working with patients who have substance use disorders and complex social circumstances.
  • Possesses language skills, particularly in Spanish, Farsi/Dari, Portuguese, or other Asian languages (phone translation services are available at all clinical and hospital locations).
