This is a full-time, on-site Industrial Electrician role based in Wapato, WA.
The Industrial Electrician will install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment across growing, packing, and cold storage facilities, ensuring safe and reliable operation.
Daily responsibilities include diagnosing electrical issues, performing troubleshooting, scheduling and carrying out preventive maintenance, and coordinating repairs to minimize downtime.
The role involves reading and interpreting electrical diagrams, supervising or guiding other electrical personnel as needed, and collaborating with operations and maintenance teams to support production and cold storage requirements.
The Industrial Electrician will also ensure compliance with applicable electrical codes, safety regulations, and company policies, and maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
Qualifications:
Strong foundation in electricity concepts and principles, including safe work practices and code-compliant installations.
Hands-on electrical work skills with experience in industrial or commercial environments, preferably in manufacturing, food processing, or cold storage.
Maintenance & repair and troubleshooting skills for motors, controls, panels, and facility electrical infrastructure.
Understanding of electrical engineering basics related to power distribution, control systems, and equipment specifications.
Valid Master Electrician license (or equivalent state certification) and familiarity with NEC and relevant local codes.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and equipment manuals.
Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety and adherence to lockout/tagout and other safety procedures.
Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Experience in agricultural, cold storage, or industrial facilities is beneficial.
Physical ability to perform on-site work, including standing, climbing, and lifting within safety guidelines.
