Job Summary and QualificationsThe Registered Nurse is responsible for coordinating and delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in line with departmental requirements and state practice standards. Collaborating with medical professionals and the care team, the RN provides individualized, compassionate care using established nursing models such as “Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage.” The RN acts as an advocate for patients, families, and caregivers, embodying the organization’s vision and values to enhance patient experiences and clinical outcomes.
- Regularly assesses patient pain to ensure effective pain management, including follow-up assessments after interventions.
- Executes procedures and monitoring as directed by medical providers, documenting care in the patient’s medical record promptly and thoroughly.
- Delivers exceptional care by responding quickly to patient requests and proactively addressing their needs.
- Educates patients, families, and caregivers about medical conditions, treatment plans, medications, potential side effects, and follow-up care, ensuring clarity in communication.
- Instructs patients and families on non-medical follow-up measures, such as healthy lifestyle choices and disease prevention, preparing them for self-management.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 6 months of starting employment.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of starting employment.
- Nonviolent Crisis Intervention training must be completed within 6 months of starting employment.
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Associate Degree, Bachelor’s Degree, or Registered Nurse Diploma.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of starting employment.
