Job Title: Fire Door Carpenter Location: Hemel Hempstead and Surrounding Areas Salary: £38,000 - £40,000 per annum (PAYE) Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm Job Type: Full-time, Permanent Benefits: Company Vehicle Provided About the Role We are looking for an experienced and skilled Fire Door Carpenter to join our growing team working across commercial, residential, and public sector properties in and around Hemel Hempstead. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, inspection, and remedial works of fire doors, ensuring compliance with current fire safety regulations and industry standards. Key Responsibilities * Installation of new fire doors and fire door sets. * Carry out fire door maintenance, repairs, and upgrades. * Complete fire door remedial works following inspection reports. * Ensure all fire door installations comply with current fire safety regulations and standards. * Accurately record completed works and submit relevant documentation. * Work safely and adhere to health and safety procedures at all times. * Liaise with clients, site managers, and other trades when required. * Maintain a high standard of workmanship and professionalism. Requirements * Proven experience as a Carpenter, Joiner, or Fire Door Installer. * Strong knowledge of fire door regulations and compliance standards. * Experience installing, repairing, and maintaining fire doors. * Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively. * Excellent attention to detail. * Good communication and customer service skills. * Full UK Driving Licence (essential).
