A leading law firm in Reading is seeking an Employment Professional Support Lawyer (PSL)/Knowledge Lawyer to join its established Employment team in Reading on a part-time (3 days per week) basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for an Employment Solicitor (4+ PQE) looking to transition into a non-fee earning, knowledge-focused role, or for an experienced PSL seeking greater flexibility.

You will play a central role in shaping the team’s legal knowledge, training strategy and technical excellence, working closely with partners and fee earners.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and interpret UK employment law developments, including case law and legislation
\n
• Deliver training programmes, workshops and legal updates to Solicitors and Trainees
\n
• Draft and maintain precedents, templates and know-how resources
\n
• Provide technical support on complex employment law queries
\n
• Produce client-facing insights, articles and thought leadership content
\n
• Support business development and pitch materials with technical input
\n
• Drive consistency and best practice across the Employment team
\n

About You

\n
• Qualified Solicitor (England & Wales) with strong employment law experience
\n
• Ideally 4+ PQE (flexible depending on background)
\n
• Experience as a Professional Support Lawyer/Knowledge Lawyer OR a strong interest in moving into a PSL role
\n
• Excellent drafting, training and communication skills
\n
• Strong technical knowledge of employment law, HR advisory work and tribunal processes
\n
• Commercial awareness and ability to translate legal developments into practical guidance
\n
