HGV Driver

Elevation Recruitment Group are working with a well-established manufacturing and distribution business in the Sheffield area to recruit an experienced HGV Driver. This is a permanent, full-time position offering stable weekday hours, competitive pay, and the opportunity to become part of a successful and growing operation.HGV DriverSheffield Area£17.30 per hourMonday to Friday | Core Hours 7:00am – 4:00pm

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out scheduled deliveries and collections across customer and supplier sites nationwide
\n
• Ensure goods are transported safely, securely, and efficiently
\n
• Conduct routine vehicle checks and report any defects or maintenance requirements
\n
• Assist with loading and unloading vehicles when required
\n
• Complete delivery paperwork, transport records, and proof of delivery documentation accurately
\n
• Adhere to all driver hours, tachograph, and transport compliance regulations
\n
• Maintain high standards of road safety and professional driving practices
\n
• Build positive working relationships with customers and colleagues
\n
• Report any operational issues, incidents, or delays promptly
\n

Requirements:

\n
• Valid HGV Class 1 or Class 2 licence (Class 1 preferred)
\n
• Driver CPC qualification and Digital Tachograph Card
\n
• Previous experience within a commercial driving or delivery environment
\n
• Good understanding of transport legislation and compliance requirements
\n
• Strong organisational and time management skills
\n
• Ability to complete documentation accurately and efficiently
\n
• Professional, reliable, and customer-focused approach
\n
• Ability travel nationwide with potential for overnight stay when required
\n
