Airport Ramp Agents / GSE Operators

Complete Workforce Solutions is building a team of experienced ramp and ground-handling personnel for upcoming cargo-aircraft operations at East Midlands Airport.

The role will support the safe unloading of cargo aircraft, movement of freight and operation of airport ground support equipment.

• Unloading cargo aircraft
\n
• Moving freight between aircraft and warehouse areas
\n
• Handling cargo pallets, ULDs, dollies and trailers
\n
• Operating cargo tugs and other ground support equipment
\n
• Supporting aircraft turnaround activities
\n
• Carrying out pre-use equipment checks
\n
• Reporting equipment defects and cargo damage
\n
• Working safely around aircraft and moving vehicles
\n
• Following airport, airline and site procedures
\n
• Communicating with supervisors and operational teams
\n

• Airport ramp operations
\n
• Ground handling
\n
• Cargo-aircraft unloading
\n
• Freighter operations
\n
• Airside cargo handling
\n
• Cargo-tug or shunting-vehicle operation
\n
• Ground support equipment
\n
• Pallet and ULD handling
\n
• Safety-critical operational environments
\n

\n
• Tuesday: approximately 6:00am–5:00pm
\n
• Saturday: approximately 3:00pm–2:00am
\n

Flight schedules and shift times may change depending on operational requirements.

• Be physically capable of completing operational ramp duties
\n
• Have reliable transport to East Midlands Airport
\n
• Be available for long and unsociable shifts
\n
• Be able to provide a full checkable work and activity history
\n
• Have unrestricted right to work in the UK
\n
• Complete all required airport-security checks and training
\n
• Follow strict health, safety and aviation-security procedures
\n

A full UK driving licence, previous airport pass and experience operating GSE would be advantageous.

No individual will operate machinery or airport equipment until the required training, competency assessment and operational authorisation have been completed.
