Croydon - office based £30,000 - £35,000 per annum(with flexibility for the right experience) Permanent | Full-Time

An established and growing accountancy practice in Croydon is seeking a Semi Senior Accountant to join their friendly and professional team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced practice accountant looking to broaden their experience whilst working with a varied and interesting client portfolio.

The Role

You will be responsible for managing a diverse range of clients and delivering high-quality accounting and tax services. Duties will include:

• Preparation of year-end accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
\n
• Working with FRS102 and FRS105 reporting standards
\n
• Completion of self-assessment tax returns
\n
• Preparation of corporation tax returns
\n
• Preparation and submission of VAT returns
\n
• Bookkeeping for a variety of clients
\n
• Liaising directly with clients and providing day-to-day support and advice
\n
• Assisting with general practice accounting duties as required
\n

About You

The successful candidate will have:

\n
• Previous experience working within an accountancy practice
\n
• Strong knowledge of accounts preparation and tax compliance
\n
• Experience preparing accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
\n
• Good understanding of FRS102 and FRS105
\n
• Experience with bookkeeping and VAT returns
\n
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
\n
• A proactive and client-focused approach
\n

Experience is more important than qualifications, and applicants who can demonstrate strong practice experience will be considered, whether qualified, part-qualified or qualified by experience.
