Finance Assistant (AAT / Graduate Opportunity)

\nThis is an excellent opportunity for a Finance Graduate or an individual who has recently completed (or is nearing completion of) their AAT qualification and is looking to build a long-term career in finance.
\nWorking within a supportive finance team, you will gain exposure to a broad range of accounting and finance processes, with full study support available towards a professional qualification (ACCA/CIMA). The role offers a clear development pathway towards becoming a Management Accountant, making it ideal for someone ambitious, eager to learn and looking to progress their finance career.
\nKey Responsibilities
\nSales Ledger & Finance Administration
\n- \n
- Raise invoices and credit notes accurately and in a timely manner. \n
- Produce premium collection reports. \n
- Process and record customer refunds. \n
- Collate and distribute broker commission statements. \n
- Respond to premium receipt queries. \n
- Assist with credit control and collection of outstanding debt. \n
- Produce analysis to support clients' P11D calculations. \n
Direct Debit & Payment Processing
\n- \n
- Assist with the preparation and upload of weekly direct debit collection files to the BACS system. \n
- Assist with recording BACS receipts within Salesforce. \n
- Assist with processing ADDACS and ARRUDS reports and updating records accordingly. \n
Process Improvement & Compliance
\n- \n
- Identify and recommend process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy. \n
- Adhere to compliance procedures and regulatory requirements, including the identification and support of vulnerable customers. \n
- Develop a working knowledge of wider business functions and processes. \n
About You
\n- \n
- Finance degree (or equivalent) or AAT qualified / studying towards AAT. \n
- Strong understanding of sales ledger processes. \n
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills. \n
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail. \n
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel. \n
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. \n
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. \n
- Customer-focused approach. \n
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team. \n
- Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop. \n
Desirable
\n- \n
- Experience using Salesforce. \n
- Experience using QuickBooks. \n
- Previous experience in a finance, accounts, administration or customer service environment. \n
- Understanding of direct debit processes, BACS, ADDACS and ARRUDS. \n
