Senior Paralegal

My client is seeking a Senior Paralegal to join their property transactions team. This role is crucial for assisting and supporting the business in handling a broad spectrum of non-contentious matters, primarily focusing on residential transactions. The Senior Paralegal will work closely with the Head of Legal Transactions and other senior members of the team.
\nDay-to-day of the role:
\n- \n
- Manage a caseload of transactions from instruction through to completion, liaising with internal clients, stakeholders, leaseholders, solicitors, local authorities, and other third parties. \n
- Draft and negotiate lease extensions, new leases, transfers, auction sales, easements, and various other deeds and licences. \n
- Handle pre-emption rights, land registry applications, adverse possession claims, and unregistered titles. \n
- Perform legal due diligence on matters such as interpretation of leases, deeds, and other property title documents, and analyse title structures. \n
- Address queries and legal title or acquisition enquiries referred by other team members. \n
- Participate in projects as required and update property management system data. \n
- Design and develop procedures for streamlining and managing casework. \n
- Assist with training and supervision of junior team members and engage in legal research using various resources. \n
Required Skills & Qualifications:

- Law Graduate or equivalent academic/professional qualifications with experience in property law/residential conveyancing. \n
- Strong understanding of conveyancing procedures and relevant property law. \n
- Ability to draft various legal documents and understand their implications. \n
- High degree of integrity and reliability. \n
- Proven ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. \n
- Good organisational skills and ability to work both independently and within a team. \n
- Computer literate with intermediate knowledge of Word and Excel. \n
- Effective communicator, both in writing and orally, with a high level of accuracy and grammatical proficiency in professional correspondence. \n
Desirable Skills:
\n- \n
- Understanding of statutory lease extensions and collective enfranchisement claims. \n
- Previous in-house experience, particularly within the property industry. \n
- Experience with property acquisitions and property-related finance. \n
- Interest in legal property-related research and a desire to acquire new skills. \n
