Job Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Maintenance Electrician to join a well-established manufacturing business in Chesterfield, ensuring the reliability and performance of a busy production facility. This role is responsible for carrying out planned and reactive electrical maintenance, minimising downtime, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the site.

\nKey Responsibilities:

- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on a range of production machinery and site equipment. \n
- Respond promptly to electrical breakdowns and fault-finding activities to minimise production downtime. \n
- Diagnose and repair electrical, control, and automation systems. \n
- Support continuous improvement projects aimed at increasing equipment reliability and operational efficiency. \n
- Ensure all maintenance activities are completed safely and in line with company procedures. \n
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation. \n
- Assist with machinery installations, upgrades, and commissioning activities. \n
- Work collaboratively with production and engineering teams to resolve technical issues. \n
Profile
\nThe Successful Candidate

- Qualified electrician with relevant electrical engineering qualifications. \n
- Previous experience working within a manufacturing, heavy engineering, or industrial environment. \n
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills on electrical systems. \n
- Knowledge of PLC-controlled equipment and industrial automation would be advantageous. \n
- Ability to work independently and as part of a wider engineering team. \n
- Proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement. \n
- Strong awareness of health and safety best practices within an industrial setting. \n
