Interim Fund Controller | 3-Month Contract

London | Hybrid Working

£500-600 per day | Inside IR35

We're exclusively supporting a leading international real estate investment and asset management business in the search for an experienced Interim Fund Controller to join their Investment Finance team on an initial 3-month contract.

This is a hands-on role supporting a portfolio of complex international real estate funds, requiring someone who can quickly add value across fund reporting, treasury, governance and financial control. You'll work closely with senior finance and investment stakeholders in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead month-end and quarter-end fund reporting, ensuring accurate and timely financial information.
\n
• Prepare investor reporting, management accounts, board packs and statutory financial statements.
\n
• Manage fund cash flow, liquidity forecasting, capital calls and investor distributions.
\n
• Oversee debt reporting and covenant compliance.
\n
• Ensure compliance with statutory, tax and regulatory requirements across multiple fund structures.
\n
• Build strong relationships with auditors, tax advisers, legal counsel and outsourced service providers.
\n
• Support acquisitions, restructurings and other strategic finance projects.
\n
• Identify opportunities to improve finance processes, controls and reporting.
\n

About You

You'll be an accountant (ACA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent) with proven experience within Fund Control, Fund Accounting or Investment Finance.

You'll also have:

• Strong real estate, private equity or alternative investment fund experience.
\n
• Experience managing complex fund structures and investor reporting.
\n
• Excellent technical accounting and financial reporting knowledge.
\n
• Strong treasury and cash flow management experience.
\n
• Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with ERP systems.
\n
• The ability to build relationships with senior stakeholders and deliver in a fast-paced environment.
\n

Desirable

\n
• Experience within real estate, student accommodation, hospitality or infrastructure funds.
\n
• Exposure to international or cross-border investment structures.
\n
• German language skills are advantageous but not essential.
\n
