Validation and Verification Engineer – Software-Based Systems Location: Bristol (Hybrid – 4–5 days on-site per week) Salary: Circa £55,000 DOE + bonus, flexi-leave & benefits Security Clearance: Sole UK or Dual British National | SC eligibility required Join a specialist Validation and Verification team working at the heart of a high-impact Command & Control (C2) system – a critical capability for national defence and threat response. You’ll be part of a team ensuring complex software-based sub-systems are ready for real-world deployment. With significant cross-functional exposure and a strong systems engineering approach, this role offers a unique opportunity to see a product through the full lifecycle – from requirements capture to delivery. - Support the development and delivery of Command & Control (C2) software systems. \n
- Define C2 test scenarios, success criteria and verification plans. \n
- Work closely with the Design Authority to confirm the appropriate verification approach. \n
- Contribute to complex systems engineering processes that ensure end-to-end functionality of software-led defence solutions. \n

- Strong systems design or systems engineering experience, particularly with software-based equipment. \n
- Degree-qualified or equivalent professional experience in a relevant technical field. \n
- Familiarity with SysML, DOORS, or Rhapsody (desirable – training can be provided). \n
- Proven ability to work within secure development environments and manage complex validation frameworks. \n
