The Opportunity

I'm working with a respected building services consultancy looking to bring in a Sustainability Consultant with BREEAM experience to strengthen their growing team in the East Midlands.

\n

This role offers the chance to work on a wide variety of projects across the region, collaborating with engineers, building physicists, and design specialists to deliver low-carbon, high-performance buildings.

Key Responsibilities

\n
    \n
  • Deliver BREEAM assessments across multiple project types
  • \n
  • Support sustainability and energy strategies from early design stages
  • \n
  • Prepare detailed environmental and sustainability reports
  • \n
  • Work closely with design teams to embed low-energy solutions
  • \n
  • Contribute to wider project deliverables, including:\n
      \n
    • Embodied carbon and circular economy assessments
    • \n
    • Thermal comfort and overheating analysis
    • \n
    • Energy demand and infrastructure reviews
    • \n
  • \n
  • Attend client meetings and design workshops
  • \n
  • Keep up to date with UK regulations and sustainability best practice
  • \n

About You

\n
    \n
  • Experience carrying out BREEAM assessments independently
  • \n
  • Good knowledge of UK Building Regulations (including Part L)
  • \n
  • Experience with tools such as IES or One Click LCA is beneficial
  • \n
  • Background in sustainability, building services, or similar
  • \n
  • Strong communicator with a collaborative approach
  • \n
  • Able to manage multiple deadlines and projects
  • \n
