Head of Finance

Reporting to the CFO, you will play a key role in the company working as the Head of Finance and being part of the senior leadership team, responsible for a hands on approach to managing the finance function with the help of a Financial Controller, whilst overseeing the HR function along with the ongoing systems development. This role can be hybrid and there is the option to work from home two days a week, however we need an individual who will happily work from their Central London office when required.

This is a key hire for our client, and as such there is a key criteria for the role that needs to be fulfilled. This role requires an individual who can demonstrate the gravitas to challenge the current business, to identify what improvements can be implemented and to then be able to push through the changes across the identified processes and procedures. There is also the requirement within the role to take on ownership of the ongoing development of the financial systems, therefore the experience required for this will be key.

Duties within the role include:

• Ensure that systems, policies and processes are adapted in time to meet the needs of this fast growing business
\n
• Monitor the appropriateness, scalability and robustness of procedures, policies and controls
\n
• Define the systems and processes required to support delivery of the business growth plans
\n
• Development of financial accounting, financial reporting and compliance processes in line with changes in legislation, corporate structure and business needs
\n
• Be an experienced hands on leader who enjoys the development and mentoring of staff and is not afraid to get their hands dirty in helping with the day to day accounting
\n

To be considered for this role you must:

\n
• Be a qualified accountant with a minimum of 7-8 years post qualified experience within a commercial environment
\n
• Currently be working as a Financial Controller of Head of Finance and looking to take the next step in your career, this role doesn't suit a current CFO or Finance Director who is looking to purely lead a team
\n
• Be experienced in the design, implementation and development of financial systems, processes and policies
\n
• Be experienced in driving change to meet fast changing-business needs
\n
• In depth knowledge of tax and accounting legislation
\n
