Finance Manager

A growing and well-established manufacturing business is looking to appoint a Finance Manager to take full ownership of the finance function for a key business unit.

This is a high-visibility role, working closely with senior leadership (including MD and CFO level), offering influence and the opportunity to drive financial performance and improve processes.

The Role

This is a hands-on Finance Manager role where you’ll be responsible for delivering accurate and timely financial reporting, supporting operational decision-making, and ensuring strong financial control.

You’ll act as a key link between finance and operations, providing insight and challenge to support business performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the month-end close process and produce monthly management accounts
\n
• Prepare and post journals, including accruals and prepayments
\n
• Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations
\n
• Deliver monthly flash reports and weekly KPI reporting
\n
• Oversee accounts payable, including payment run approvals
\n
• Monitor accounts receivable, identifying and escalating risk
\n
• Prepare quarterly VAT returns and support audit requirements
\n
• Assist with payroll processes where required
\n
• Partner with operational teams to provide financial insight and support decision-making
\n

About You

\n
• Qualified (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)
\n
• Experience in a similar Finance Manager role
\n
• Background in manufacturing, engineering, or a fast-paced environment preferred
\n
• Strong Excel skills and high attention to detail
\n
• Able to work to tight deadlines and manage competing priorities
\n
• Confident engaging with stakeholders across finance and operations
\n
• ERP system experience
